It was our Absolute pleasure to support Ghana Medical Relief’s mission in August 2026 in the Ho West Constituency, helping provide essential medicines and treatments to communities who need them most. This year, the mission reached over 12,000 people, with around 9,000 packs donated in total from Cedar Point Chemist. Our contribution consisted of: Jet 2 Cold Softgel Capsules: provided with the approaching rainy season and harmattan in mind, helping communities prepare for the seasonal increase in colds and respiratory discomfort. Cenart Forte 80/480 tablets: an Artemether-lumefantrine antimalarial treatment, particularly valuable where malaria remains an ongoing healthcare need. Trilex Cream — a triple-action topical treatment offering support for a range of common skin conditions. Accra, Ghana — June 2026 At this year’s induction ceremony for newly qualified and registered pharmacists, Cedar Point was proud to sponsor the profession’s top honour: the John Ocran Award. The ceremony, organised by the Pharmacy Council, was held at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), where 708 newly qualified and registered pharmacists were welcomed into the profession. Honouring the Best in Pharmacy The John Ocran Award was instituted by the West African Postgraduate College of Pharmacists (WAPCP) in recognition of John Ocran’s contribution to the development of pharmacy. It is presented alongside the Overall Best Pharmacy Student Award to the candidate who ranks highest nationally. This year, both honours went to the same person: Pharm. Dr Raymond Acheaw Ofori, recognised as the Overall Best Candidate in the 2025 Ghana Pharmacy Professional Qualifying Examination. Cedar Point sponsored the cash prize and citation that accompanied the John Ocran award.
